A Few Good Things
A fresh round of favorites from dreamy wallpaper to a ruffled bolster I’m obsessed with. It’s been a minute and I’m so happy to be back and sharing again.
Hi! It’s wild to realize I started writing here just over a year ago. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do or to connect with so many thoughtful people along the way.
I almost feel embarrassed to admit how hard it’s been to keep up with posts lately. Between the renovation and working full time for my family’s business, the days blur together. I keep thinking I’ll find the time, and then I don’t. But every time I do carve out a moment to share here, I’m reminded how much I love it.
Lately, I’ve been deep in the design phase of our new home. What started with millwork quickly turned into a full-on search for hardware, lighting, and all the finishing details. And now I’ve found myself saving inspiration for furniture, bedding, and the softer layers that bring a space to life.
I figured I’d start sharing a few of the pieces I’ve saved. Maybe you’re further along in your own project or just in the mood to refresh a space. Either way, I hope something here sparks an idea.
First up is this bed skirt from Shoppe Amber Interiors.

I’ve always loved the look of a bed skirt. It feels classic and traditional without being too precious. It’s also a really smart way to make a simple setup feel more finished. If you’re not investing in a full bed frame or headboard, you can use a metal base with a box spring and let a beautiful bed skirt pull everything together. I’m thinking of doing this in our guest room. Here’s the inspiration photo I keep coming back to:
San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito is easily one of the most beautifully designed hotels in the country, maybe even the world. I’m completely in love with a wallpaper they’ve used in a few of their cottages and knew I had to track it down.
It’s called the Snow Tree Wallpaper by Colefax and Fowler, and it’s every bit as dreamy in person as it looks in photos.
I’d love to use it in a project one day, but I think it would be especially perfect in a nursery, a little girl’s room, or even a primary bathroom just like they did at the hotel. I finally found the source and can’t in good faith keep it to myself.
Here you go: [link]. It comes in a few different colorways. My favorite is the pink and green combo, but truly they’re all beautiful. You really can’t go wrong. Order a few samples and see which one speaks to you.
I don’t have the right spot for this right now so I’m passing it along in hopes someone else can give it a good home. It’s a beautiful vintage black wooden chest of drawers and I just love it.

I’d use it as a nightstand. I'm always drawn to the charm of mismatched pairs, especially larger ones that can hold a lamp, books, framed photos. I picture a big black and white print propped up behind everything, leaning casually against the wall (like the inspo photo below). The hardware is so good too. It’s one of those pieces that instantly makes a room feel more layered and lived in. Here you go: [link].
A big mirror behind it could look amazing too. I love when homes feel layered and collected over time.
No one does striped fabric quite like Ian Mankin. I've always been drawn to candy and lining stripes, they feel so classic and timeless. I'm actually considering using one of his fabrics for our breakfast banquette cushion. Anyway, I came across this perfect extra wide lumbar bolster cover and totally freaked out. I honestly think every bed deserves one of these, it’s effortlessly chic, and the price is so reasonable. The Etsy seller lets you choose just the cover or the cover with the insert, and the ruffles? Extra chic. Seriously, run, don't walk.

Last but not least, the classic Mosser glass cake plates. I’m sure you’ve seen one before. I’ve always loved them, and I think it’s so fun that they come in different colors and sizes. That said, the milk white is my favorite, and it’s definitely on my list of things to finally order. It’s classic and has that Ina Garten vibe that I just can’t help but love. Perfect all year round, but especially fun to pull out when entertaining in the summer. The baby pink is also pretty perfect. Order one here: link.
